Paul's Birthday
It has been a very exciting year for Paul. Last year we were living in Michigan and he was working for a company called Arkema by February the company was no longer and had a new name change to Taminco. In May he began looking for a new job and here we are in Texas talk about weather extremes.
Some great High lights of His 46th year in review -
ThanksGiving - W/Jones
Thankgiving we drove to Indiana to spend it with our friends Mel, Jeff and Bredan (Rylie was not here yet). We had the best time. I have lots of photos but most of them are of Brendan surprise...surprise. Paul took some not so glamorous photos of Mel and I cooking...good thing I am the publisher of this blog.
January - New Family Member
In January we bought a Cavalier King Charles we named him Maximillion or Max for short. He really has kept us busy and on our toes.
March - Pikes Peak - Colorado
Paul went to fire safety school in March and had the oportunity to see Pikes Peak. He came home with some beautiful scenery pictures and a Pikes Peak Chicken shirt for me.
Sam Graduated From High School Yeah!
Before Paul left for Alvin Texas - Our Oldest son Sam graduated from High School it was a long hard road but we are very proud of his accomplishments. Now if he could just get a job.
August - Reunited with His Family
Paul moved to Alvin on the 25th of June and lived with out his family until the 13th of August. What a trooper. The bliss lasted about two days then it was unpacking boxing and organizing the kitchen for it's immediate use because he was tired of eating out.

All Hallow's Eve At The Shelton's
Ahoy Matie!
Halloween happens to be my favorite time of year and we go all out creating a haunted walk through for the kids in the neighborhood. Seth Christopher was Baby New Year by the end of the evening because it was too hot for his cowboy outfit.
Here is Daniel at the front entrance of our garage or Pirate cove. Notice the welcoming sight of the butler no thats Daniel on the left the butler is on the right.
When the Sun went down the lights came up. We had about 25 trick or treater's even the little ones went through as long as they had their mummies.
More Halloween pics of the inside coming soon....once the film is developed

My Daddy

Jerry Louis Rausch
May 6, 1933 - Sept 12, 2007
A tribute to the man whom I called Dad:
My Father always loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, being in the water. I have very fond memories of the many rocks we moved to help the flow of water and for his children to have a better time in the cold waters of Tennessee.
In the last few days of his life we enjoyed chocolate sundaes (his favorite and mine), watching squirrels eat nuts from the window seal, and telling each other how much we loved one another. During his last few weeks I met many people who knew my father for his compassion, understanding, service and the impression he left on their lives. I will treasure their stories for a lifetime and longer:)
I miss him terribly his smile, his laughter and the words of wisdom he always seem willing to give me even when I wasn't looking for them.
He was a wonderful Husband who love my mom very much and in the end he knew her, he kissed her and he loved her with his very last breath.
These are the moments when I am most greatful for the Gospel and the joy it brings to my soul that we will be reunited as a family and I will get to see him again.
I love You Daddy

Our New Texas Home
House Number
Kitchen - Silestone countertops and we have different appliances that are brushed stainless steel
Fireplace in family room - the art niche above the fireplace appears in other locations throughout the house
After a whirlwind trip to Texas, Paul and I have decided we have found the perfect house for our family and what a steal compared to homes for sale in Michigan. The house is 2400 sqft with 4 bedrooms with the master suite downstairs w/3 full baths. There is also a covered back porch with ceiling fans and lights. Complete with formal dining room, den, and breakfast area.
Texas Bound
We will be Texas bound in just a few months where we will join Paul in Alvin, Texas. He is already hard at work for a new company called Solutia Inc in Chocolate Bayou. We are very excited about our new move and hope that it will go off without any hitches. This is our first blog page, hard to image for a family that is so technology driven we have never created a blog. Stay tuned for our next update coming soon which will be our new home.
