My Daddy

Jerry Louis Rausch

May 6, 1933 - Sept 12, 2007

A tribute to the man whom I called Dad:

My Father always loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, being in the water. I have very fond memories of the many rocks we moved to help the flow of water and for his children to have a better time in the cold waters of Tennessee.

In the last few days of his life we enjoyed chocolate sundaes (his favorite and mine), watching squirrels eat nuts from the window seal, and telling each other how much we loved one another. During his last few weeks I met many people who knew my father for his compassion, understanding, service and the impression he left on their lives. I will treasure their stories for a lifetime and longer:)

I miss him terribly his smile, his laughter and the words of wisdom he always seem willing to give me even when I wasn't looking for them.

He was a wonderful Husband who love my mom very much and in the end he knew her, he kissed her and he loved her with his very last breath.

These are the moments when I am most greatful for the Gospel and the joy it brings to my soul that we will be reunited as a family and I will get to see him again.

I love You Daddy

Hey
I am soo sorry to hear about your Dad. We will pray for you all. I love the pic on the top of your blog. So are the boys done with school? On missions? Working? What are you up to? Your house looks beautiful! I am excited for you to get a place of your own. So where in TX are you? When did you move? I need details! I have thought a lot about you but couldn't find your email address (I am computer deficient) so I am so glad you found our blog (and I could find yours). I also love the link to the Joneses blog so I could catch up with what they are up to. Anyway, we love and miss you guys! Update us! Amy
